Thomas Tosh's is a popular café located in the heart of Thornhill.

We are looking for a barista to join our team.

Our Front of house team members are the face of the business, your friendly approach and willingness to provide a fantastic service at all times is what makes you an integral part of our business.

You have a genuine interest in serving great food & beverage and more importantly enjoy promoting and selling it. The sheer diversity of the role is what appeals to you as you may be involved in tasks from hot drinks preparation, serving food, promoting a new product, to dealing with customers, till work, washing up. The list is endless and those experiences provide you with a great platform for career opportunities. Being part of a team is essential to you and your outgoing personality and enthusiasm ensures that we continue to deliver our high standards of service to our customers, every day.

Required Skills/Qualifications:
Essential
Customer service experience. Ability to communicate in basic written and spoken English. Good organisational skills. Numerate: counting cash may be required. Manual dexterity for quick, skilful handwork. Ability to remember prices, simple mental arithmetic. Smart , clean appearance. Friendly, pleasant personality. Reliable. Respectful and able to gain respect.

Desirable
Food hygiene certificate. Barista trained. Ability to display passion for food and service. Ability to work with own initiative. Ability to plan ahead. Cash till experience. Keen to continue self-development within current role and ambition for further promotion or growth.
