The Robert Parker Collection includes six specially selected properties,
located in magnificent surroundings, offering our guests a luxurious
experience in a home away from home. Our properties are located in
Edinburgh, the Scottish Borders, Northumberland and the Lake District.

This charming hotel located in Kelso, Scottish Borders, Ednam House enjoys a
unique location on the bank of the river Tweed. The hotel benefits from 3
acres of Gardens, accommodation includes 33 bedrooms, Bar, Restaurant, and a
large elegant Ballroom.

We are looking for an experienced Food & Beverage Manager to head up the day
to day running of the department. We need somebody who is a very strong
people manager and team motivator with a bias towards working in a hands-on
manner and engaging with guests and team members naturally. We are looking
for a highly motivated individual who is looking to take on this new role.
They must demonstrate a strong work ethic, excellent customer care skills
and an exceptional level of food and drink knowledge.

This role would suit someone with similar experience working in a Country
House Hotel or looking to step up from an assistant managers position.

You must show that they can drive the department forward, motivate their
team, and able to show strong leadership. You will need to identify and
provide the front of house team with training and skills to carry out their
duties.

The Food and Beverage Manager will:

•Previous experience in the industry is essential
•Experience as a wedding venue experience as master of ceremonies is
essential
•As part of your role you will also take on duty manager responsibilities
•Manage and recruit staff within agreed compliment and budgets
•Maintain staff motivation and discipline through strong team leadership
along with hiring of staff
•Coordinating the day to day planning, management and control of all
activities within the food and beverage department
•High quality delivery of services, customer relations and contact with
guests.
•High level of customer awareness
•Design/implement agreed Restaurant and Bar programmes, procedures and
quality standards including, sales results and targets, KPI’s, decoration,
cleanliness, atmosphere and attractiveness of the department
•Quality control standards implemented at all times
•Creating, analysing and planning the bar and restaurant sales levels and
profitability
•Setting budgets and/or agreeing them before purchasing with senior
management
