An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Catering Operations Manager to join us on the beautiful Chatsworth Estate in Derbyshire as Head of Catering for our diverse, high end catering division. Chatsworth - one of Britain’s leading heritage attractions and home to the Duke and Duchess of Devonshire is part of the Devonshire Group employing over 1,400 individuals and operating in a highly commercial manner.

We employ around 200 people in our catering division at Chatsworth; delivering consistently top quality, fresh food, at all our restaurants and events. The current catering portfolio includes: the table service Cavendish Rooms, Childers Luxury Afternoon Tea Room, Carriage House self-service restaurant and three further functions rooms, four Food To Go (takeaway kiosks) around the gardens and Farmyard and up to three third party operated Food To Go kiosks. We also manage an extensive diary of events throughout the year including weddings, dinners, VIP events, and other major outdoor events including the Country Fair and the Horse Trials

To be effective in this post you will be a very experienced General Catering Manager with a track record of success in delivering both day-to-day, high end catering and events, ideally with experience in a relevant sector. Commercial and numerate, you will have responsibility for a growing turnover of over £3 million.

• Has ability to maintain consistently high standards within a large and diverse team
• Highly organised and an excellent time manager
• Highly commercial and able to manage the P&L Accounts
• Proactively identifies ways to maximise long-term profit by effective cost control and exploiting opportunities for revenue growth
• Is courteous and well-presented
• A team player who is able to see the big picture and will work collaboratively in the best interests of the whole Devonshire Group.
• Has at least 5 years’ experience gained within a similar environment
