Job description:

The Caledonian Hotel, Dumfries, are looking to recruit an experienced and talented Chef de Partie to assist in the catering of our newly refurbished restaurant and function suite.

You will work under the direction of our Head Chef and Sous Chef to maintain a reputation for excellent food and service.

Candidates require to be enthusiastic and self-motivated, possess good communication skills, be friendly and show respect to all staff as part of a close-knit team. You should be able to work under pressure and deliver without compromising on quality. You will be expected to stand in for the Head and Sous Chefs in their absence and, in due course, be able to prepare and deliver all dishes from our menus to the required standard.

You should demonstrate high standards of cleanliness and hygiene to ensure the kitchen operates effectively and efficiently at all times. You will work to a rota which includes lunch and evening dinner service and for hotel functions. You will be required to take turn on breakfast service in the absence of our Breakfast Chef.
