Salary:£10- £12 per hour paid weekly plus tips
Duration:Seasonal
Hours:40-45
Days:5 or 6 days a week - mixture of shifts
Holidays:Statutory (28 days p/a)
Bedrooms:35
Covers:Dinner: 150 - 200 covers over lunch and dinner; Breakfast: up to 70 but we have a breakfast cook; Functions: up to 130 - very occasional
Food type:good quality a la carte using local produce including lots of fresh fish and seafood
Full-time chefs:6 plus 2 kitchen porters
Accommodation:Own room in shared staff block included as part of the package
Job description:

The Royal Hotel is a 3* family-run hotel situated in Portree, the main town on the Isle of Skye. We are looking for a chef de partie to join out stable team for the season but potential for the position to become permanent for the right person.

We are looking for a chef with a nice temperament who is hard working and willing to get stuck in.

Must be able to work well and get on with the other members of the team.

Situated overlooking Portree Harbour this is a lovely place to work and spend the summer season.

Would consider a strong commis chef looking for the next step up.

This position is available now until October with potential for it to become an all-year round position for the right candidate.
