Salary:£16,950.00 per annum (£8.78 per hour). Scottish Canals also offers a generous annual leave entitlement of 33 days, pro-rata to length of contract (inc. public holidays), along with childcare vouchers, discounted shopping vouchers, and a contributory pension scheme.

Job description:

Scottish Canals is looking for a variety of seasonal staff to join our team at our brand new Caledonian Canal Centre for contracts running between April and October, with a variety of start and finish dates. Roles will include Food Kiosk Assistants, Information/Gift Shop Assistants, Cafe Assistants, Kitchen Assistants and Housekeepers.
We’re opening a brand new visitor centre in Fort Augustus, and are looking for passionate, enthusiastic and motivated individuals to join the team. If you’re interested in tourism, travel, international visitors, events, food & drink, boating and outdoor activities, then this could be the perfect opportunity for you.
From welcoming thousands of international visitors, to supplying information, serving customers and spending time both in and outdoors, these roles enjoy a wide range of fun and exciting responsibilities. You will assist customers with purchases, supply information, keep our attractions looking their best and help to ensure our visitors have a 5 star trip to remember. The roles will involve customer service, cash handling, replenishment of the gift shop, and the preparation of food and drink.

Previous experience in a similar role is welcomed, but not essential.
