Looking for a head chef to join and lead the stable team at this family owned and run establishment. Working in a well-equipped kitchen, you will have full autonomy including menu planning and health, safety and hygiene including the paperwork that goes with it.

Good opportunity for someone to make a name for themselves with scope for developing the business down the line.

Season Dates

The season runs from the beginning of December through to the end of April. Staff should be available for the whole of this period, although occasionally positions do become available during this time. Our first guests arrive December, and prior to this, staff are given full in-resort training and resort familiarisation.

Menu design and planning for weekly clients using local suppliers and produce

To do all the shopping for food within the weekly budget

Prepare children's early dinner if and when appropriate
Assist the chalet host in keeping the chalet clean and tidy at all times, creating a warm, welcoming environment.

The Worsley Arms is a privately operated 20 bedroom three star hotel in the centre of the North Yorkshire village of Hovingham, midway between the market towns of Malton and Helmsley. We are looking to recruit a Head Chef to join our team.

As well as appealing to the local market the hotel has a high proportion of returning guests who enjoy dining in the restaurant or the less formal Cricketer's bar. For the past two years the hotel has been awarded two AA rosettes for the quality of its food.

The hotel runs a monthly supper club and occasional wine and food evening which allows the kitchen to showcase new dishes.

Applications are welcome from existing Head Chefs or from experienced Sous Chefs looking to run their own kitchen.

The village of Hovingham is 20 miles north of York on the B1257, midway between the market towns of Malton and Helmsley. The hotel is located in the centre of the village.
