Assistant Manager

We are currently looking for an enthusiastic, positive, and ambitious Assistant Manager to join our team at the Royal Hotel.
The Royal Hotel is a boutique 24-bedroom hotel with two restaurant’s, HS1 Café Bar & The Boatshed Restaurant which has recently been awarded AA Rosette.

The ideal candidate will have proven experience in a similar management role. You will take pride in maintaining high standards with a meticulous eye for detail and lead by example, demonstrating drive, professionalism, and a strong team spirit. As a visible presence throughout the hotel, you’ll inspire and motivate those around you to always deliver exceptional service.

With excellent management and communication skills, you’ll be confident working under pressure, self-motivated, and commercially aware. You’ll be able to influence, support, and communicate effectively across all departments to ensure smooth daily operations.
We’re looking for someone who will truly own the role, bringing fresh ideas, embracing the team and culture, and grow alongside the business.

Key responsibilities include:
• Ensure you and the team consistently deliver outstanding hospitality.
• Assist in the training, mentoring and development of staff, identifying and implementing training needs where appropriate.
• Build strong relationships with guests, managing enquiries and resolving complaints efficiently and professionally.
• Contribute to the overall success of the business by upholding agreed standards and exceeding guest expectations.
