Job description:

We have undergone a change in management here at the Cartland Bridge Hotel and we are looking to recruit an experienced and enthusiastic Head Chef.

We need someone who is motivated and highly organised with experience in delivering consistently great food to all sizes of parties; from the lone business-person dining in the bar/restaurant to Weddings and Funeral Gatherings in one of our function suites.

The ideal candidate should have a passion for freshly cooked meals made with local produce that highlight the best of what Scotland can offer.

To be successful in this role you will have proven capability as an effective team leader as well as successful delivery of budgetary controls and management. You will have overall responsibility for managing all aspects of the kitchen environment including the kitchen team/rotas, food ordering/rotation/production, stock control, dealing with suppliers and compliance with all current legislation including EHO, paperwork and allergens. You will also ensure full compliance with food safety requirements.
