Salary:£26,000 to £28,000 per year plus a share of the tips
Duration:Permanent
Hours:40 to 45 depending upon business
Days:5 days from 7 - mixture of shifts
Holidays:Statutory (28 days p/a)
Bedrooms:18
Covers:Lunch: 30 for B+B; Dinner: 30 for B+B; Breakfast: 30 for B+B; Functions: for the weddings - 80 covers during the day and 120 evening
Food type:High End Weddings, pre ordered and menu for bed and breakfast guests.
Full-time chefs:2 fill-time and a breakfast chef who covers 4 breakfasts + kitchen porters
Accommodation:onsite accommodation available - own bedroom - part of package
Job description:

Springkell is a privately owned wedding venue in Eaglesfield 10 miles from Lockerbie and about 15 miles to the North of Carlisle.

We are a busy and well established wedding venue in a beautiful location.

Situated in South West Scotland.

We are looking for a Sous chef to join our small friendly team.

Working alongside the Head Chef and covering on time off.

Working with our Head Chef for the busy wedding trade.

Helping with all aspects of the kitchen including cooking, health and hygiene, stock control, ordering.

All wedding menus are pre ordered.

This position is available now for the right candidate and may suit either a local chef, not far from Dumfries or if someone relocating, accommodation is available.

Lots to do on time off such as walking, fishing, golf, will suit someone who likes the outdoors, but also not far from several large towns.
