Hours:Contracted 39 hours per week, overtime is paid.
Days:5 days out 7
Holidays:Statutory (28 days p/a)

Covers:Lunch: Varies up to 450; Dinner: varies up to 450; Breakfast: Breakfasts served in other part of the hotel; Functions: varies up to 450

Full-time chefs:20 plus kitchen porter

Job description:

The Balmoral is an iconic 5* Hotel at Edinburgh most prestigious address, No.1 Princes St. We are looking for a Junior Sous Chef to join our Main Kitchen team who cater for meetings & events for anything from 2 people to Gala Dinners for 450. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a completely fresh food focused business (we even have our own in house butcher) creating fantastic food for amazing events.

You will provide support to the sous chef and head chef.

There is excellent scope for career progression.
