Lunch Chef

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a full time Lunch Chef at our 4* hotel, The Dunkeld House Hotel. The hotel sits on 280 acres of beautiful land and attracts thousands of visitors every year. The hours for the role will be 8am to 4.30pm, 5 days per week.

We have 98 bedrooms, gym, spa facilities and pool and a selection of conference and event facilities to accommodate weddings, private functions and business services.

The Role:

· Assist the Head and Sous Chef in the smooth running of the kitchen including: assisting the breakfast shift during service, preparation for lunch service, assisting during lunch service and preparation for the night service.

· Maintain the consistency in the preparation of all food items according to hotel recipes and standards

· Assist with stock controls and delivery management and to assist with stocktaking as required

· Store unused food properly to minimise waste and maximise quality

· Ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of all kitchen equipment, counter tops, and shelves

· Adhere to all policies and procedures including; health and safety regulations, sanitation and food hygiene

· Adhere to all COVID-19, Health and Safety regulations within the hotel.

The Person:

· Previous experience in a similar role, working within a 4/5* star establishment as part of a fast-moving and quality driven team

· NVQ Level 2 or equivalent

· Basic Food Hygiene Certificate

· Rosette experience is not essential but would be advantageous

· Flexible in terms of working hours as the role will involve working evenings and weekends
