Salary:£25,000 per annum paid monthly with shared tips

Hours:45 hours per week
Days:5 days from 7 mixture of shifts
Holidays:Statutory (28 days p/a)

Food type:Local, Seasonal produce, with both all day and experience menu.
Full-time chefs:3 chefs plus kitchen porters

Welcome to The Watchman Hotel Bar and Restaurant, an exciting new venue in the heart of Gullane, East Lothian.

We are looking to recruit an exceptional Chef De Partie to work alongside our Kitchen Team. Our Chef De Partie will be able to work and, comfortable in a variety of roles.

Work Life balance and Kitchen Culture is important to us at The Watchman hotel, we will aim to create balanced and fair rotas. We want our team members to not be over worked and able to contribute to the overall success of the hotel. We Have a herb garden and greenhouse as well as worm farms. We will be using local Scottish Suppliers.


What we are looking for in a Chef De Partie.

1. The Chef De Partie will have previous Restaurant or Hotel experience in a 4 star environment.
2. We envisage our Chef De Partie to be dynamic and an ambitious Chef, possibly a Demi Chef de Partie looking to take the next step.
3. The Watchman ethos and culture are exceptionally important to us. We are looking for our Chef De Partie to help embody, embrace, and develop themselves and others in our shared vision.
4. Our Chef De Partie will have the ability to creatively develop new ideas. Will have the confidence to manage their section and lead other members of the team. With excitement to engage both the kitchen and front of house teams.
5. Must demonstrate a natural ability to be a skill full chef as well as be a team player with creative problem-solving skills and great communication and listening skills.
6. Be able to , in conjunction with the Team, demonstrate creativity to design and deliver new dishes for our menus and specials.
7. Enthusiasm and positive attitude this is our Chef De Partie.

The Kitchen and F&B team will deliver exceptional food quality and service to our customers through each and every dish and will be a vital part of the customer experience at The Watchman.

Personal transport or access to public transport will be required due to shift work.
