Salary:£19,760 - £22,000 per annum - Up to 6% Company contribution with the Peoples Pension

Hours:40 hours per week
Days:5 days from 7 - The building will be open to the public 7 days a week from mid September from 10am until 10.30pm and it is expected that the food service will be from noon until 6pm. Alongside this, until the end of September we will be operating our outdoor event Under Canvas which will run from 4pm until 11pm also from Wednesday to Sunday serving pizzas from our pizza oven.
Holidays:34 days holiday from April to March including public holidays
Bedrooms:No bedrooms - The restaurant and bar consists of a 70 cover restaurant, a 50 cover cafe-bar, and 2 further bars, open dependant on the attendance at performances
Food type:Everything from simple, quick and tasty snacks and pre-show canapés to high volume banqueting and buffets along with menu planning for a range of events and day to day restaurant custom
Full-time chefs:5 - 6 chefs plus kitchen porters

Job description:

The Covid-19 pandemic and related government restrictions have had a huge impact on our ways of working at Eden Court. We are continuously adapting in line with the guidelines and this job will also change and shift along with the circumstances.
It is vital that our customers are safe at all times and it is therefore essential to follow good hygiene measures and relevant guidelines. The role of Chef de Partie will ensure the following is delivered:
• Responsibility for managing a section of the kitchen as allocated to you by the Head Chef or Sous Chef
• Ensuring compliance with all hygiene standards, fire and Health and Safety legislation
• Maintain stock control and place orders with suppliers, ensuring that delivery notes are checked on a daily basis and that the Head Chef/Sous Chef are kept updated
• Ensuring HACCP records are kept daily and filed appropriately using Cooksafe
• Input into menus and specials where required by the Head Chef including costing and portion control
• Assist in writing and following recipes for each dish to ensure that you have adequate information for each service to prepare your section to meet the needs on any given day

• Delivering high standards of food for large events and under pressure
• Managing HACCP effectively
• Level 2 food safety certificate
• Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills
• Great team player/member
• Good organisational and time management skills
