Job description:

The Winking Owl, situated in Aviemore, the heart of Cairngorm National Park, serving modern Scottish Gastro food alongside award winning Cairngorm Brewery ales.

We are looking for a professional Chef de Partie to join our kitchen team.

Our kitchen prepares high quality dishes to order from fresh local and seasonal produce.

Responsibilities

Prepare menus in collaboration with Head Chef and Sous Chef
Ensure adequacy of supplies at the cooking stations
Prepare ingredients that should be frequently available
Follow the guidance of the head or sous chef and have input in new ways of presentation or dishes
Optimise the cooking process with attention to speed and quality
Enforce strict health and hygiene standards
Help to maintain a climate of smooth and friendly cooperation

Requirements

Proven experience in a Chef de Partie role
Excellent use of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and processes
Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure
Knowledge of best cooking practices

Food Hygiene LV2 preferred but not essential as training can be provided
