Job description:

The Kingsknowes Hotel is a 12 bedroom 3 star hotel situated in Galashiels.

We are looking for a Commis Chef to join our busy Hotel team down in the Scottish Borders.

Calm, organised and friendly kitchen team catering for all Hotel needs including breakfasts, functions, conferences, weddings, bar meals, restaurant menus, afternoon teas and much more. This is a busy establishment, where no two days are the same, a candidate must be able to adapt to the needs of the business whilst maintaining high standards.

Job Duties:

Prepare all food items as directed in a sanitary and timely manner
Follow recipes and presentation specifications
Operate standard kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
Maintain a clean working station whilst adhering to health & safety standards
Assist with the cleaning and organisation of kitchen and equipment
Adhere to all food hygiene & safety standards
Restock items as needed throughout the shift
