Salary:Negotiable salary depending on experience paid monthly plus tips. Days:5 straight shifts
Holidays:Statutory (28 days p/a)
Covers:Lunch: up to 150; Dinner: up to 200; Breakfast: up to 300; Functions: up to 500
Food type:Casual dining club house and fine dining restaurant
Full-time chefs:38 plus kitchen porters
Accommodation:Room in staff house charged at £60 per week including bills.

We are looking for a commis chef to join our kitchen team. An excellent opportunity to progress in your career and training will be provided. You will have the chance to work in either our fine dining or bistro kitchens.

• Have a full awareness of all menu items, their recipes, methods of production and presentation standards
• Ensure the hygiene standards of the kitchen and everything in it are up to the required standards
• Work closely with all sections of the kitchen in order to ensure smooth and efficient service
• Assist other team members as appropriate
• Assume the duties and responsibilities of the Demi Chef de Partie in his absence


• Passion for food & cooking essential
• Demonstrate the proper and safe usage of all kitchen equipment required
• Strong desire to improve on skills and knowledge essential
• Ability to produce work in accordance with a deadline which has been set
• Ability to project a pleasant and positive professional image to all contacts at all times
• Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs. on a regular and continuing basis.
• Ability to demonstrate initiative required
• Must be able to bend, stoop, squat and stretch to fulfil cleaning tasks occasionally.
• To act upon Fire, Hygiene and all Health & Safety legislation
