Job description:

Sous chef required on a seasonal basis from April to October for 16 bedroomed Tweedies bar & lodge in Grasmere, Lake District
You will be responsible in the absence of the head chef
£18 to £20 per hour - preferably self-employed
Modern & traditional British
Brigade of 6 plus Kps
Up to 300 covers over lunch & dinner through the busy season
Minimum of 40 hours per week - mixed shifts
Accommodation can be arranged at a small cost - but live out preferred

Job description:

We are currently recruiting for a Breakfast Chef to work as part of the kitchen brigade in our 108 bedroom 3 star hotel.

The Breakfast Chef will ensuring that the highest standards are maintained at all times & assist the senior Chefs in the preparation and service of food.

Hours will be usually be 06:00 - 14:00
5 days over 7
Will usually involve Weekends

Our hotel is a charming 3 star hotel in a remote & beautifully picturesque location near the lake district

The Person

The ideal Breakfast Chef will have the following:

Experience in a high volume kitchen,
High standards of cleanliness, stock control, and work prioritisation.
A true passion for food and have the enthusiasm and willingness to learn.
Have a understanding of health & safety and food safety guidelines within the kitchen.
Possess a willingness to work to high standards consistently
The hotel is located 3 miles outside Shap village, having reliable means of transport to this area is beneficial.
