Job description:

After 7 years our head chef is opening her own business. We now require a talented and hard working head chef to lead our kitchen team. Based in Berwick upon Tweed this is a full time role requiring weekend work, split shifts in winter and overseeing our kitchen team. The role is available due to commence in mid April 2019.

Salary will be based on experience and Foxtons pays 100% of the tips to our team through a Tronc. The candidate will have experience in running a busy kitchen, overseeing our hard working second chef, trainee chef and kitchen team, you will set the rotas. Your talent will show in the menus that you set (seasonal) 2-3 items per year. And in devising with the director special occasion menus for Christmas for example, setting weekly specials. The head chef is responsible for ordering all food and supplies.

You will be used to dealing with up to 200 covers per day and deliver food with a high degree of accuracy. We rate 4.5/5 on TripAdvisor for food and 4.8 on Facebook. So our standards are high and serve with near 100% accuracy. You will need to prepare your own test menu for the interview and may be required to oversee a lunch or dinner session with our current head chef.
