Salary:£25,000 per annum negotiable depending on experience paid monthly plus shared tips

Covers:Lunch: 10 - 40; Dinner: 10-30 in the restaurant and 10 - 50 in bar. Restaurant in closed on Sunday and Monday evening; Breakfast: up to 70; Functions: Up to 200 (56 wedding over the year)
Food type:2 AA Rosette restaurant plus functions and bar meals
Full-time chefs:6 chefs + 2 Kitchen Porters

Job description:

Sous Chef required for The Morritt Hotel and Garage Spa. A 4* hotel with a long history and reputation for providing excellent service in the area for their food is looking for a Sous Chef to join this established team.

As sous chef of this busy operation you will assist the head chef with a brigade of six chefs. Building a strong relationship will be key and you will be directly involved in the management, development, motivation and coaching of your team in order to ensure maximum customer satisfaction at all times. You are somebody who can make a difference and play a part in moving the offer to the next level. A good team player is essential within this business.

As sous chef you will lead from the front and be hands on in the kitchen day to day including key service times and in the absence of the head chef. You will have personal high standards, be a passionate and creative team leader being able to motivate your team to reach the high standards of a quality environment which includes; a 2 rosette restaurant and a well-developed wedding venue.
