Salary:£26,000 to £32,000 per annum paid fortnightly - shared tips - bonus available (gross profit bonus scheme)

Hours:5 days from 7
Days:45 - 50 hours - Combination of split 10 - 2.30 / 5.30 - 9.30 and straight shifts dependent on business demands
Holidays:Statutory (28 days p/a)
Bedrooms:17
Covers:Lunch: 20 - 60; Dinner: 50 - 100; Breakfast: 30; Functions: occasional
Food type:Modern Scottish Bistro a la carte using lots of local produce
Full-time chefs:6 chefs plus 3 kitchen porters
Accommodation:accommodation in the form of a rented furnished flat or house availble for 3 - 6 months after which the candidate would need to find their own - there would be no charge for this - after this period Chef would expect to pay between £380 - £450 per month rent.
Job description:

I am looking for an experienced Head Chef to join a busy 3 star hotel situated in a fishing village around 30 miles from Dumfries.

I am looking for someone who can take the reins in the kitchen - help take the business forward and create a new style and edge to the food keeping the emphasis on local procurement.

This is an ideal job for a young Head Chef to make their mark and take the business to the next level.

The hotel prides themselves on supporting local suppliers using fresh local produce cooked with imagination and flair.

There is an existing team.

The ideal candidate will be willing to relocate and settle in South West Scotland which is a quiet rural part of Scotland with the emphasis on outdoors, cycling, golf, walking a lovely safe environment to bring up a young family.

They are not pushing for accolades but consider our style and standard to be rosette standard.

This position is available from mid September.
