There's a small menu of very traditional pub grub with a couple of daily specials.

Key Responsibilities:
• Costing menus, ordering effectively and efficiently, and maintaining relationships with suppliers..

Job description:

This historic golf club with a strong membership base is looking for a Head Chef to join them in their welcoming and supportive club.

There's an excellent local customer base and scope to develop the kitchen into a highly profitable operation, with an understanding and supportive management team in place. They're looking for someone with a great understanding of business and a willingness to drive the operation forward. The current Head Chef is leaving after a tenure of 20 years and so you should have demonstrable longevity and a desire to create something that you can nurture in the long term..

This would be a great opportunity for a couple or friends to come in and work together to develop all aspects of the F&B operation.

The club is volunteer run, warm and welcoming. You'll become a part of the team in no time and they're offering an excellent accommodation with it's own gardens as part of the package. Non working partners and dependants are also welcome in the accommodation as they're keen for it to be seen as a long term benefit and not just a transient space.
