Job description:

Darroch Learg is a small 10 bedroom hotel situated in Ballater. After a 3 year refurbishment project we are looking for a head chef to join our team and launch the food operation from our newly renovated kitchen.

We are looking for a head chef who is looking to make a name for themselves and put their own stamp on the hotel. You will be in charge of menu design using lots of the fresh local produce that the area has to offer.

Not necessarily going to be aiming for rosettes and fine dining just good local produce cooked from scratch.

This is an exciting time to join as we relaunch the hotel.

You will be in charge of the day-to-day running of the kitchen including staff recruitment and training, ordering, stock control and health and safety and hygiene.

This position is available from the end of August for the right candidate.
