Job description: | The Jura Hotel is a very busy 17 bedroom hotel situated on the beautiful Isle of Jura, an hour ferry ride away from Tayvallich which is only 41 miles from Oban. We are looking for a commis chef to join our team. Working with lots of fresh and local produce including local venison and fresh seafood. You will have experience at this level and ideally experience with volume also. A beautiful but remote location and a lovely place to spend the summer season. Very friendly community of 200 people. Lots to do on days off including fishing, hiking, walking and cycling so would suit someone who enjoys outdoor pursuits. Very flexible team with a high percentage of staff returning from the last few seasons. This position is starting now (we are closed Christmas) - back open 27th December but is a permanent all year round position. Would consider a seasonal chef also. |
