Salary:£25,058 to £28,236 per annum, depending on experience. Contributory pension scheme - club gives 5.25% as long as employee contributes at least 1% and we are keen to have all employees contribute at least 4% to meet future government targets. Share of tips from the bar and catering department. Uniforms supplied and laundered. Free Golf Club membership including members loyalty card.

Job description:

The Royal Dornoch Golf Club Championship Course is the 4th best Golf course in the world. We are situated in town Dornoch situated 40 miles north of Inverness.

Responsible to: Catering Manager

Responsible for: All full and part time waiting and bar staff including Half-Way House.

Summary of Job: Lead the front of house team to ensure that all the agreed performance levels are achieved and in conjunction with this, ensuring the image and traditions of the Club are being upheld.

Main Responsibilities:
• Lead the team in providing a welcoming, relaxed and efficient hospitality provision to members and visitors during all operational hours.
• Understanding of the financial aspects of the hospitality provision to help achieve the budget targets.
• Ensuring that all hospitality staff and facilities comply with all relevant licensing, health & safety and hygiene legislation.
• Assist in the organisation of the hospitality provision including maintaining efficient rotas to ensure optimum deployment of available staff; their training and team communication.
• Actively encouraging effective teamwork, individual contributions and the personal growth of all the hospitality team members.
• Rapid and effective resolution of all routine hospitality problems to facilitate a seamless service provision to members and visitors.
• Actively fostering positive and constructive interaction and co-operation with other teams within the club to improve the overall level of service provision.
• Suggest potential developments and expansion of the service to improve on budget targets, increased utilisation of facilities and enhancement of the enjoyment for members and visitors. Assist in the implementation of such activities as are approved by the club
• Develop and maintain constructive and co-operative relationships with Club Officials and other Managers to ensure the highest possible levels of hospitality is provided thus enhancing the reputation of the Club and the overall “visitor experience”.
• To carry out all other reasonable instructions emanating from Club Management.

Required Standards: Good communication, problem solving and computer skills. Sound knowledge and understanding of all legislation impacting on the hospitality provision e.g. licensing, health & safety and hygiene etc.;
