Bar Manager
We are looking for a Bar Manager to lead our bar team through 2022 and beyond. You will be responsible for a team of up to 15 staff in three busy bars.

Our bars have been voted the best outdoor bars in the UK in 5 out of the last 6 years by our customers in the TGO awards and we have also just been awarded the best walkers pub in the UK by Trail Magazine amongst several other awards of the years from CAMRA and Les Routiers.

We have the busiest bar in South Lochaber if not the whole of Lochaber with a vast array of Scottish beers and spirits.

Bar Staff
The Boots Bar is a renowned real ale and whisky bar especially in the climbing community, with 15 hand pumps, 9 keg lines, over 400 Scottish whiskies, over 150 Scottish gins and a good selection of Scottish rums, vodkas and liqueurs.

We are looking for staff that will fit in well with our current team and personality is often more important than experience in customer facing roles. You will need to be cheery, positive and have a can do attitude.

In the role you will predominately working on the bars serving customers and keeping the dining areas inside and out clean and presentable, you will also run food from the kitchen, have KP shifts, work the occasional housekeeping shift and potentially cover reception shifts as well.

You will develop an extensive knowledge of ales, whiskies and gins. An enthusiasm for furthering product knowledge is required.

The inn has 23 bedrooms and has attained Visit Scotland’s 3 star inn accreditation. This in itself takes a dedicated team to run and maintain the high standards now set.

In addition, through Clachaig Holidays, we also own and manage 12 self-catering properties, located both on site and in the neighbouring villages of Glencoe & Ballachulish.

These properties are of a Visit Scotland 4 star standard, requiring constant attention to detail from our housekeeping staff, ensuring that our guests keep returning. The importance of our dedicated staff in this team cannot be overstated.

So you need to be a self-starter, keen to get stuck in and keen to learn new skills. You must be presentable in the eyes of our wide range of customers from all walks of life.

Our Housekeeping team start at 08.00 where they will serve our residents breakfast. After Breakfast you will assist in cleaning the hotel including 23 rooms and 9 self-catering properties.

We are now looking for a new maintenance person to join the team here at Clachaig Inn.
In this role you really need to be a jack of all trades, the role is very varied and will include but not limited to general maintenance of the hotel and self-catering properties, fire and safety checks, garden machinery repair, plumbing, decorating etc.

You will also cover maintenance for our sister pub the Grog and Gruel in Fort William
