Job description: | The Mainstreet Trading Company is a destination Bookshop/Café/Deli. Based in St Boswells, 5 miles from Tweedbank train station (terminus of the new Borders Railway), we are a small dedicated team who pride ourselves on the quality of our food and the customer experience we offer. We are looking for someone passionate about food, keen to join our deli team. Kitchen experience would also be an advantage as our chef works closely with the deli. Mainstreet is a destination business, well known for our knowledgeable friendly staff. Each part of the business takes inspiration from the other, with our ‘Cookbook of the Month’ informing the Café menu and Deli shelves. We host regular cookery demo events with well known chef/authors – recent examples include Honey & Co, Ottolenghi and Sabrina Ghayour. We won Farm Shop & Deli Awards Deli of the Year in 2014. |
