Job description:

Kitchen Porter

Role Description
Responsible for the day-to-day cleanliness of the kitchens, crockery, cutlery and other cooking equipment, demonstrating a high level of commitment to health & safety and food hygiene standards.

1. Guest Service
Support the service through efficiently washing crockery, cutlery and cooking equipment in a timely manner, ensuring there is sufficient mise-en-place for each service.

2. Cleanliness and Hygiene
Ensure the kitchen runs smoothly by making sure everything is clean, tidy, safe and hygienic in accordance with Food Hygiene and Health and Safety Policies.

3. Teamwork
Work as part of a team demonstrating excellent customer service with all team members. Provide support where required to ensure the smooth and professional running of the operation.

4. Cleaning
Ensure all crockery, cutlery and kitchen-wear is washed as required. Operate and clean dishwashers correctly. Clean any heavy equipment as directed and clean fridges as required. Remove all kitchen waste and store in the correct area.

5. Health & Safety
Support a safe working environment by adhering to Health & Safety, Food Hygiene, Fire and Evacuation procedures.

6. Training
Take ownership of your personal development, enhancing your ability to build knowledge.
