Job description:

The Golden Lion is undergoing transformation, and is looking for a collaborative Head Chef to join at this exciting time. You'll be given input into the menus and offerings, whilst understanding the vision for this historic central Hotel. The food offering will be a driving feature going forward and presentation and quality will be at the forefront of the hotel's marketing.

You'll have the chance to put your stamp on a project that's going from strength to strength whilst building a reputation for excellence in this vibrant city centre. There's a beautiful ballroom space which is currently under utilized, but with plans in the works to develop the banqueting you must be able to demonstrate a knowledge of C&B services.

Impeccable hygiene standards and an expectation of professionalism from your team will be required, as the kitchen is to be a professional space with the influx of business and the elevation of standards.

The Director is looking for someone to collaborate with, who understands the importance of moving with the times and can lead a team from the front. You'll have input into every aspect of the kitchen operation, including staffing levels and suppliers. There's a small team in situ, however there's scope to add chefs as the offering requires.

There's a great work life balance on offer and a true 48hr contract. You must be committed to the changes and a generous, negotiable financial package is available for the right candidate.

JOB OVERVIEW
We are seeking a talented and experienced Head Chef to lead our team at Eilean Donan Castle. RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain a clean, organised kitchen environment.

The venue has historically been very busy for their food and are looking to return to previous business levels. The drink service is very popular, as is footfall so this isn't an impossible task.
