CATERIING FRANCHIISE
FORTROSE & ROSEMARKIIE GOLF CLUB


Fortrose & Rosemarkie Golf Club, with over 1000 members is situated only a 20-minute drive from
Inverness City Centre. The Golf Club which is the 15th Oldest Recorded Club in the World (1793),
invites interested parties/individuals to apply for the franchise agreement, providing and managing
the catering service for the club members, guests, private parties, visitors and casual diners.
The club offers a well-equipped kitchen, a bar, dining room, lounge and outside seating area
accommodating in total a seating of 100+ people. The clubhouse enjoys panoramic views over the
Moray Firth and beyond. As well as golfers and visiting golf parties, there is the opportunity to
supply meals to the adjacent caravan parks and the many walkers who dolphin watch at Chanonry
Point. Fortrose & Rosemarkie Golf Club is a National Championship venue and was voted as
Scotland’s Best Golf Course (in our category) as part of the 2024 Scottish Golf Tourism Awards.
These types of awards highlight the Club’s growing popularity within the golfing community and
should significantly impact on our catering and bar business. Ranked No. 47 in Scotland and No. 30
in Great Britain & Ireland’s Fun courses to play (with over 2,000 courses in the UK & Ireland).
The position requires the applicant to manage all areas of the catering operation, by providing a
high level of food and service. The franchise also offers many possibilities to increase revenue,
through established members parties, the adjacent camping and caravanning parks, social events,
private hire plus the many golfing groups who come to the Links.


The applicant has to demonstrate the following:
• The possession of necessary food preparation and Health & Hygiene certificates.
• The ability to deliver quality food alongside a customer focused front of house service.
• The ability to work on his/her own initiative and as part of a team.
• The ability to use social media to advertise and to market/publicise the business.
• Experience in providing a similar type of catering elsewhere.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with other golf club staff.
• A willingness to work alongside Club officials in selection of menus, agreement of opening
hours etc.


The Golf Club will provide a fully equipped kitchen and restaurant. Overheads are apportioned
where appropriate. The successful applicant will be required to sign a service agreement for a
period of time to be mutually agreed. For the avoidance of doubt, the applicant will not be an
employee of the Club and the responsibility and turnover for the Bar remains with the Club
however, the franchisee will retain all profits from the catering aspect of the business.
