Job description:

The Albert Hotel is a well established 3 star hotel in the heart of Kirkwall, Orkney's capital with a population of 8000.

Looking for a Head Chef to join the stable team. You will play a big part in rolling out a restaurant menu featuring the best of local produce including world famous Orkney beef and seafood.

There is also a busy trade in the bar serving high quality bar and bistro style meals.

Looking for someone with a good eye for detail and the ability to produce appetising and imaginative dishes.

You should have a clear understanding of good health and safety practice, and the ability to control kitchen costs and maintain a good GP.

Kirkwall is a busy vibrant town with plenty to do, there is an airport and is only a short distance from ferries to mainland Scotland and has good bus links.

This position is available from 7th May but can be negotiated and through until around October
