| Job description: | I am looking for applicants via email for a new venture in the Outer Hebrides starting next April. Initially, it is a seasonal position. Situated in a rural location, there is a great opportunity for someone to make a name for themselves cooking good quality food using the fantastic produce that is available in the Scottish islands. There is a part time local cook who can deal with a lot of the day trade allowing you to concentrate on the evening trade. It will not be open 7 days a week, probably 4 to 5 evenings per week. Shifts by negotiation. The position will start next spring in 2026. You will cook the food, order produce in, deal with a lot of the health and hygiene aspects of a small kitchen and work with the management. This may suit a Head Chef looking for more independence, or equally a Sous Chef looking to make a mark. . |
