Job description:

Cannon House Hotel is a small privately owned lovely Georgian townhouse situated on the Bute-ti-ful Isle of Bute. Only a short stroll from the Rothesay town centre and ferry terminal. Bute is very easy to reach from the mainland. The ferry terminal at Wemyss (pron. “weems”) Bay is only a 45 minute drive from central Glasgow.

We are looking for a head chef or a strong sous chef who would like to move up to become head chef to join our team and take over the running of the kitchen.

Some of the responsibilities within this role are:

• Food Preparations
• Menu Planning, costing and gross profit margins
• Buying and stock control
• Health & Safety, Food Safety and other legislative requirements

Using lots of fresh produce including meat from the local butchers and very high quality seafood.

This would suit a strong sous chef looking for their first head chef position.
