Job description: | I am recruiting a head chef for a new establishment opening mid December. Operated by a charity which focuses on working with people who have barriers in getting into work. Looking for either an experienced head chef or senior sous chef to work together with the operations manager to get this new establishment up and running. Looking for a chef who is innovative and has a passion for food. Menus will change quarterly and you will have free reign. This will be a fast paced environment serving a variety of food from morning rolls and retail sandwiches to corporate lunches and bistro dinner meals for up to 50 covers. Aiming for accolades. Situated on the outskirts of Edinburgh with good public transport links and parking. There is a 2 acre garden on site ready to make into a kitchen garden with 3 polytunnels and an area for mushrooms. Looking for someone who is keen to mentor and train the other members of the kitchen alongside your senior sous chef.
