Job description:

Kincraig Castle Hotel is a highly acclaimed, family owned 4 AA star Country House Hotel with an award-winning Rosette Restaurant located near Invergordon, approximately 22 miles from the capital of the Highlands, Inverness.

We wish to appoint a talented, passionate and self-motivated Head Chef who has a proven track record and possesses the necessary experience to take our Food & Beverage business to the next level and enhance our existing reputation.

An ability to communicate freely and effectively are essential qualities as we are a small team with a huge passion for delivering amazing food and excellent service.

The ideal candidate will possess the following:
• Extensive 2 Rosette experience.
• A strong work ethic and an ability to lead and motivate the team in a harmonious working environment.
• Strong leadership skills and an ability to participate in of our Management Team to ensure collective responsibility for exceeding our guests’ expectations and meeting our Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
• An ability to create exciting Menus, which change seasonally and are varied to suit our discerning resident leisure guests, resident corporate guests and local non-resident guests, using fresh, Scottish produce.
• A passion to prepare delicious food to meet the highest standards using fresh local ingredients and a commitment to monitor the quality of the finished dishes to ensure they exceed our guests’ expectations.
• Extensive Wedding banqueting experience.
• Excellent communication skills to ensure close cooperation and mutual respect among all staff across all departments.
• An ability to prepare Weekly Staff Rotas, which ensure effective cover for all shifts and the fair distribution of the kitchen workload.
• Exceptional planning and organisational skills to ensure the efficient operation of the kitchen.
