Salary:£25,000 - £27,500 per annum, paid monthly plus tips.

Hours:45 hours per week
Days:5 days a week - straight shifts
Holidays:Statutory (28 days p/a)

Covers:Lunch: up to 200 over the day, depending on season; Dinner: UP to 200 over the day; Breakfast: No breakfasts

Full-time chefs:5 chef plus 2 kitchen porters
Accommodation:Accommodation is available - own room in the shared cottage next to the premises. TV and Wi-Fi - no charge
Job description:

The Winking Owl, situated in Aviemore, the heart of Cairngorm National Park, serving modern Scottish Gastro food alongside award winning Cairngorm Brewery ales.

We are looking for a professional Sous Chef to join our kitchen.

The successful candidate will employ their culinary and managerial skills in order to play a critical role in maintaining and enhancing our customers’ satisfaction.

Responsibilities

Help the Head Chef in the preparation and design of all food menus
Produce high quality dishes
Ensure that the kitchen operates in a timely way that meets our quality standards
Manage the kitchen in absence of Head Chef
Delegate food preparation to junior members of the team
Comply with and enforce sanitation regulations and safety standards
Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers
