Job description:

The Taybank – Sous Chef

About US
The Taybank is a wee gem, right on the banks of the River Tay, in Dunkeld, Perthshire. A favourite with walkers and visitors, it is also held dear by the local community and is ubiquitously popular in the Scottish trad music scene.
Under new management (since Nov 2019) we have increased the emphasis on ‘field to fork’ with a growing proportion of the meat & game used in our menus locally sourced and butchered in house. Almost everything we serve is produced in-house with only raw ingredients being purchased. We are also looking to develop our own kitchen gardens to supply as much of our fruit & veg as possible.
The F&B operation consists of a busy ground floor bar, also serving food, an upstairs bar and dining room, with a total of around 60cvts. Outside there is a second kitchen built in the huge beer gardens (300+ cvts) with a menu offering pizzas, burgers and specials, all made in-house. In the past year, we have brought the bedrooms back to life offering 5 beautiful double bedrooms.
Because of these developments we are seeking to expand our small kitchen team run by head chef and are on the look out for a creative, enthusiastic and dependable Sous Chef,
