Job description:

Stornoway Distillers at the Fank is a restaurant and cocktail bar in the heart of Stornoway.

We are recruiting for an innovative and ambitious Sous Chef to join our team and work alongside our Head Chef, serving our exciting summer menu built upon local and seasonal produce and shellfish cooked over fire.

While our style is relaxed and informal, we have a strong focus on ethics and sustainability - We don’t stock big brands, our craft beers are from small, independent, Scottish producers, and we only serve natural wines. Our food offering supports and complements our ethos and values.

This role would suit an experienced Sous, or an ambitious CDP looking to take the next step in their career.

This is a seasonal position, but we would consider a permanent role for the right person. We would love to hear from local applicants, but if you’re moving to the island, we can help you find accommodation. You will join us in one of the most beautiful locations in the UK.

The Isle of Lewis is featured in almost any list of the world's best beaches, with turquoise seas and white sands that stretch for miles. Add to that mountains, lochs, and amazing wildlife and you get a dream location to live and work... you can see eagles, red deer, otters, seals, dolphins, and whales, and once the nights get darker the Northern Lights can dance in the sky!
