JOB DESCRIPTION AND PERFORMANCE STANDARDS

POSITION: Pastry Junior Sous Chef

DEPARTMENT: Kitchen

RESPONSIBLE TO: Executive Chef, Senior chefs

RESPONSIBLE FOR: A section in the main kitchen

JOB SUMMARY
• Assisting in the food preparation process
• Cooking and preparing elements of high-quality dishes
• Preparing vegetables, meats and fish
• Assisting other Chefs
• Helping with deliveries and restocking
• Assisting with stock rotation/Cleaning stations
• Contributing to maintaining kitchen and food safety standards
It is expected that the incumbent will be guided by Departmental goals and objectives, uphold the performance standards for the various activities and adhere to the Employee Handbook, Core Standards, Service Quality Standards and legislation relevant to the workplace.
