Job description:

Sous Chef
We are currently looking to fill an exciting role as a Sous Chef at Carnoustie Golf Links, as part of the Rookery Restaurant at our prestigious golf course.

This is a permanent position where the successful applicant will work an average of 46 hours a week (on annualised hours). In this role, evening and weekend work will be expected throughout your employment. Reduced working hours will be in place through the winter months, including Christmas Day and New Years Day off.

Essential Skills and Behaviours:
Being up to date with modern culinary techniques
High end restaurant experience
Experience in a senior role
Have a good business acumen and always ensuring best practice
Have flair and be passionate about what you do
The ability to lead, manage and motivate
Have a comprehensive understanding of food costs and the impact on profit margins
Can maintain the highest levels of cleanliness and presentation
Able to perform consistently and under pressure
Guide and develop junior members of the team

Qualifications:
NVQ/SVQ Level 3 Professional Cookery
Proof of significant trade experience and on the job learning
