Salary:Salary from £19,000 per annum depending on experience plus share of tips and workplace pension scheme
Days:5 days out of 7 shut Monday and Tuesday
Holidays:Statutory (28 days p/a)
Covers:Lunch: 10- 30; Dinner: 20 - 50; Breakfast: 12; Functions: 40-150
Food type:Modern British - lots of local Scottish produce
Full-time chefs:3 plus breakfast chef plus kitchen porters

Job description:

Barley Bree is a country restaurant with rooms in Muthill, 3 miles south of Crieff and 5 miles north of Auchterarder.

This is a good role for an ambitious chef who is looking to progress and learn. You must be able to work in all sections of the kitchen, be organised, clean and tidy. Our ethos is fresh food prepared daily using modern equipment, local and seasonal where possible with a strong classic French influence.

You must be able to prepare shellfish and fish, have some butchery skills and have made bread. Learning on the job is guaranteed but some of these essential skills will give you an advantage. You will be expected to look after your own section, help keep hygiene and temperature control records up to date and give input to our daily changing menus.

We are looking for someone to help our Head Chef build a strong team and who can work well with others
Professional cookery qualification essential. Some experience of AA Rosette kitchens would be an advantage. The previous occupant of this role went on to work in a 2 Star Michelin establishment. The restaurant serves 20 to 40 covers for lunch and dinner.
