Salary:£21,000 per annum paid monthly plus tips and a £2000 retention bonus

Hours:48 hours per week
Days:4 and a half consecutive days (3 nights off) and finishing at 11am to start three nights off. The role will include working 5 breakfast shifts.
Holidays:Holidays are largely taken at the end of the season, but given the hotel is closed for around two months per year, this equates to approximately 40 working days paid holiday per year

Job description:

We are looking for a chef de partie or a good commis chef to join a privately owned and run 4 star hotel in Pitlochry, 29 miles from Perth.

Working in a friendly, stable and close knit team and in a straight forward working environment. Candidates should have a minimum of 1 or 2 rosette experience and be comfortable at this standard in most sections of the kitchen including pastry.


Looking for a willingness and ability to contribute to menus and recipes. Tidy personal appearance, excellent hygiene awareness, and an ability and desire to keep a tidy and organised station and kitchen are vital attributes.

The hotel is closed from early December until early February. Set 2 and a half days off so you can make plans in advance.

All food is made on site including breads, stocks and ice-creams so this is an excellent opportunity to progress in your career and be creative with a daily changing 4/4/4 menu plus canapes.

This position does require responsibility and includes deep cleaning duties which are built into the rota in this small hotel kitchen operation where everyone "mucks in."

This position is available from the beginning of February 2020 and interviews will be taking place in the coming weeks.
