Salary:Starting £10 per hour - paid monthly - plus tips
Hours:40 - 48 hours per week
Days:5 days from 7 mixture of shifts
Holidays:Statutory (28 days p/a)
Bedrooms:57 bedrooms - covers over the day can be 600 - 1000
Food type:Our estate-to-plate ethos runs through all our restaurant and bar menus. Inspired by our location and Scotland’s abundant land and sea larder we use the best of ingredients to guarantee our guests an exceptional experience, brimming with Scottish hospitality and flavour.
Full-time chefs:10 chefs plus kitchen porters
Accommodation:Own single room in shared staff house - £8 per day includes 3 meals per day (very nice accommodation)
Job description:

The Kingshouse in Glencoe is a 57 bedroom hotel only a 40 minute drive from Fort William and 1 hour from Oban

We are looking for 3 Chef de Parties to join our team.

The Hotel is part landmark hotel, part adventurer’s bunkhouse – slap-bang in Glencoe and on Scotland’s world-famous West Highland Way.

About the role

You’ll be part of our ambitious kitchen team. You’ll support and motivate our commis chefs making sure they have the skills to make outstanding experiences for our guests. You’ll lead your own section of the kitchen and have an eye for quality, consistency and portion control.

You’ll be a people person and work closely with our front of house team to make sure our guests get exactly what they want, quickly.

We’ll supply regular transport for our team members who work shifts.

For those wanting to use public transport, you can catch a bus just five minutes from the Hotel. Buses also go from here to Glasgow/Edinburgh or North through the Highlands to Inverness – a couple of hours either way. There’s up to eight a day in summer and a few less in winter so good for getting away on your days off.
