Job Summary: We are seeking a passionate and highly independent Chef de Partie to take charge of our Garden Kitchen. You'll be working solo in the kitchen with our front-of-house servers, managing a streamlined menu designed for quick, high-quality service. The ideal candidate is self-sufficient and thrives working independently while delivering exceptional garden kitchen-style dishes including burgers, Cullen skink, Reuben sandwiches, and more. You'll have the creative freedom to work with the Head Chef to develop exciting specials. Key Responsibilities: Take full responsibility for kitchen operations during service, working independently with minimal supervision. Execute our quick-service menu efficiently, including burgers, Cullen skink, Reuben sandwiches, and charcuterie boards. Manage all aspects of kitchen operations single-handedly, from prep through service to clean-up. Collaborate with the Head Chef on developing seasonal specials and menu contributions. Maintain consistent quality and presentation while ensuring fast turnaround times. Coordinate seamlessly with front-of-house team for smooth service flow. Adhere to food safety and hygiene regulations at all times. Essential Requirements: Proven experience working independently in a professional kitchen environment. Ability to work completely solo during service while maintaining high standards. Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple orders efficiently without support. Passion for Scottish cuisine and comfort food, with knowledge of quick-service preparation techniques. Excellent time management and ability to work under pressure while maintaining quality. Self-motivated with strong communication skills for coordinating with serving staff. Relevant culinary qualifications (e.g., SVQ Level 2/3 in Professional Cookery or equivalent) preferred. Preferred Skills: Experience in fast-casual or quick-service kitchen environments. Creativity in developing efficient, high-quality dishes that align with Garden Kitchen's ethos.
