Job description:

Oblo Bar is a well Established Bar and bistro situated in the centre of Eyemouth 2 minutes off the A1 in the Scottish borders, half way between Edinburgh and Newcastle.

Overview
We are looking to recruit an experienced and capable Chef de Partie to join our existing kitchen team. This position is full time and permanent . You will be expected to assist the Head & Sous Chefs with the overall day to day running of the kitchen, which will include:

Duties:

All aspects of food preparation and service as instructed by the Head & Sous Chefs, preparing and cooking menu items according to established recipes and standards.

The supervision of Pizza Chefs/Kitchen Assistants and Kitchen Porters, overseeing their roles and responsibilities
Washing dishes and taking an active role in completing cleaning rotas
Contributing to stock control, product ordering and rotation
Ensuring that food is stored and labelled correctly and in accordance with Food Hygiene requirements
Completing any relevant paperwork to ensure records are kept up to date
Ensuring that all Employment Law, Health & Safety Law, Food Hygiene and Fire Safety requirements, policies and procedures in relation to the kitchen setting are in place, kept up to date and reviewed regularly.
Experience:

Previous experience in a restaurant or culinary environment is essential, with a focus on food preparation and cooking.
Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in the kitchen is essential.
Familiarity with various cooking techniques and equipment used in meal preparation.
Strong organisational skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
A passion for culinary arts and a desire to learn and grow within the industry.
