Job description:

We are looking for a full-time permanent Chef to join the team at Scotscraig Golf Club. The perfect candidate will be a person who is excited by an evolving project.
Background
Scotscraig Golf Club, founded by members of the St Andrews Golf Society in 1817 and a six-time Open Championship Qualifying venue, has recently announced a landmark long-term partnership with The Ancient Links Golf Company, ensuring a bright and sustainable future for this iconic course.
This new agreement is built on a commitment to protect and enhance members' access to the course, develop the game of golf at all levels, and reinforce Scotscraig’s role in the local community.
The club has gained significant investment and is redeveloping in all areas no more so than in the Food and Beverage offer and operation.
The kitchen is being completely redesigned over the winter in preparation for the 2026 season and beyond.
We are seeking a Chef to drive consistency of product in everything they do. This in turn will build the reputation of the club’s food and beverage offer in the local area.
We are looking for a Chef to join the are the team and come on the journey. Are you someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and is customer focused?
Experience in a similar golf or sporting environment would be an advantage but not essential.
Flexible Rota, including weekends and evenings in high season, aligned to business levels.

Duties include but not limited to:
Day to day running of the kitchen
This is a hands role, where you will be cooking every day.
P&L responsibility for gross profit (GP) and food cost (COGS)
Food safety management compliance including the supporting documentation
Food stock management including, stock taking and maintain par stock levels, stock rotation.
Menu development
Ordering for day-to-day menu, groups and functions
Looking after members, group bookings, functions and non-golf customers
Ordering for day-to-day menu, groups and functions
Working closely with the F&B Manager and the wider team.
