Salary:£20-23k per annum, pro-rata (dependent on experience). Paid weekly. Plus full share of tips.
Days:5 days split shifts
Holidays:Statutory (28 days p/a)
Covers:Lunch: Friday and Saturdays 10-30; Dinner: 40-60; Functions: up to 45
Food type:Predominantly seafood fresh cooked to order
Full-time chefs:2-3 plus kitchen porters
Accommodation:Double room in house shared with one other person. £49/ week
Job description:

Situated in the picturesque fishing village of Tarbert, Starfish is a successful seasonal restaurant specialising in, but not limited to, Seafood. We focus on fresh, local produce prepared simply with care and compassion. We promote a friendly, informal atmosphere with attention to detail in all aspects of our service.

As the business grows and the restaurant gets busier year on year, we are looking to increase our opening hours and therefore, our team. Argyll is a beautiful place to live and work. Our aim is to provide a relaxed and enjoyable work environment, where every employee is valued and never overworked.

To complete our close-knit team, we are seeking an enthusiastic chef with the following skills and attributes:

• Experienced chef accustomed to a busy restaurant kitchen, and at times, under pressure.
• Enjoys working in a small team.
• Organised approach to all work.
• Strong knowledge and understanding of the importance of hygiene and safety in the kitchen.
• Excellent time keeping.
• Positive attitude and strong work ethic.

The role would suit either an accomplished Sous or a driven CDP, but we are open to hearing from all levels of experienced cook with willingness to learn and succeed.
