Chef de Partie, The Mountain Cafe Aviemore, Moray and Strathspey

Open since 2004 The mountain café has become a bit of an institution in Aviemore. With a reputation for award winning food, friendly service, kick ass coffee and an amazing view of the Cairngorm Mountains.
The cafe seats up to 44 customers and serves an average of 185 customers per day.

Owner and head chef Kj is originally from New Zealand and the Cafe’s food and atmosphere reflect her kiwi roots as well as embracing all the great things the local area has to offer. Food is fresh and locally sourced wherever possible so it’s healthy and nutritious as well as delicious. The Mountain Cafe has a faithful following amongst locals and tourists with customers returning again and again, year after year.

As well as a regularly changing menu, there are daily specials and a fantastic array of home baking which caters to a range of dietary needs.

The café is open from 8.30am until 5pm and our kitchen is open from 8.30am until 4pm.

We offer great working hours with 4x10 hour shifts per week & 5x10 hours shifts alternating to give a work life balance.

We are looking for a chef that can jump straight in, who can handle a busy kitchen while maintaining a high level of cooking. Must be self motivated & committed.

We would require you to come for a trial day, we do not employ over the phone or Skype. We are happy to contribute to the cost of the trial day.
