Commis Chef, / Night Porter - The Gables Hotel, Dumfries and Galloway

Salary:we offer competitive salaries which is above the minimum living wage, incentives and good prospects for developing within the Gables Hotel.
Hours:up to 40 per week
Days:5 days per week including evenings and weekends
Holidays:Statutory (28 days p/a)
Covers:Lunch: 20-30 max; Dinner: 20-40 max; Breakfast: up to 70; Functions: Up to 80
Food type:Brasserie style restaurant and bar menu, formal dining and functions and weddings
Full-time chefs:3 chefs
Accommodation:Live in - 3 meals per day
Job description:

The Gables Hotel has 30 bedrooms in the heart of Gretna. Safety &
Service standards are at the core of everything we do, we have
excellent customer ratings.

We are looking for a good all-rounder with hotel experience that would
be able to work in most areas of the hotel and has excellent customer
service skills.

The hotel assistant/night porter duties include (but are not restricted to):

· On call night porter 5/6 nights per week (business dependent),
including check-in guests.

· Waiting on tables, bar service and housekeeping assistance during peak times

· Preparing and serving Breakfast experience and qualifications would
be an advantage (although training is provided)

Either a couple or a single person we are looking for, the couple for
example could be FOH and a chef combo or even someone who has strong
reception/BOH skills, we are flexible as long as we find the right
