Hours:42.5 hours
Days:5 days a week - mixture of shifts
Holidays:Statutory (28 days p/a)
Covers:Lunch: 70; Dinner: 70; Breakfast: 92; Functions: 50
Food type:Modern casual dining and high-end wood-fired cooking
Full-time chefs:18 chefs plus kitchen porters
Accommodation:Own room in shared staff accommodation with TV and Wi-Fi including gaming room, communal area and gym - first month free
Job description:

Commis Chef

Role Description
To ensure quality food preparation and presentation, ensuring an unsurpassed dining experience for our guests every time. Demonstrate a high level of commitment to standards, training, policies and procedures.

1. Guest Service
Produce dishes on time and to the expected standard, ensuring that each item that reaches the pass is correctly garnished and portioned, presented on the prescribed serving dish.

2. Managing Stock
Effectively manage stock and that any anticipated shortages are communicated promptly to the Senior Chef on duty. Ensure that food is kept under optimum conditions.

3. Teamwork
Work as part of a team demonstrating excellent customer service with all team members.
Provide support where required to ensure the smooth and professional running of the operation.

4. Cleanliness
Make sure your working area is always clean and tidy and ensure a high level of hygiene and cleanliness is maintained at all times.

5. Health & Safety
Support a safe working environment by adhering to Health & Safety, Food Hygiene, Fire and Evacuation procedures.

6. Training
Take ownership of your personal development enhancing your ability to build knowledge and make informed recommendations.
